Tips for using this page
- Count breaks as periods if you want them on the page. A school day with six lessons and a lunch break is seven rows; write Lunch across that row by hand.
- Type the start times in order, one per line. A line can hold a range such as 08:30-09:20 if you prefer both ends. Periods without a time line get an empty time cell that you can fill in with a pen.
- Write lessons in pencil for the first two weeks of term. Rooms and teachers tend to change early on, and a timetable in pencil survives that without a reprint.
- Add the room under the subject in each box. With seven periods the boxes are tall enough for two short lines of handwriting.
- For a two-week timetable, print the page twice and put Week A and Week B in the title. Two clear sheets are easier to read than one crowded one.
- Print a second, smaller copy by choosing two pages per sheet in your browser's print dialog, and keep it inside a folder or a pencil case.
Questions
Can I type the subjects into the boxes?
No, the lesson boxes are filled in by hand. The title, the term, the number of periods, the times and the days are set on the page before printing.
Does it work for a university schedule?
Yes. Treat each row as a time slot, type the slot times in the times list and leave the boxes without a lecture empty.
My school week runs Sunday to Thursday. Is that covered?
Yes. Choose Sunday to Thursday under Days across the top. Six-day and seven-day weeks are also available.
What is the largest timetable that fits?
Ten periods across seven days, with the times column, on one landscape sheet of US Letter or A4.
